Tiny Passions

Artist Statement

In my work, I try to capture intimate moments. I live in a world that is constantly trying to sweep me away in a rush of life and expectations, but there are quiet moments in between that hold precious value. A penny on a gravestone, the stitch of a needle, a reflection in some half-polished silver. Signs of life taking a breath and pausing for a minute.

When I have an idea, I brainstorm and daydream about it, then I work through trial and error to find a way to make it reality. Careful planning and consideration go into every element and every step toward completion, and because of this, there is a part of me in every piece I make. I cannot create without soul. Each piece has meaning from my past, who I love, and what I hope for.
